I think her main downfall is that she heavily relies on printed worksheets to teach with and will often go through 3 or 4 one lesson. She has a great personality and attitude but the way she teaches class music is very boring. She expects that the class does not know very basic music theory and her choice of music may be questionable at times. I do recommend her, but only perhaps for junior years who are just starting out with music.
A nice person but an appaling chorale teacher. A good likeness is a puppy tied to the ground in front of a bulldozer (with a brick on the accelerator). CHorale is too big for her, her song choice sucks and she doesn't put in enough care and attention on the little things. Celia also bullies her.
Should demand more than a measly 10-15 minutes at the end of big-shot internationally renowned conductor Celia Christmass' sessions. SOME people have music to rehearse properly as well! What happened to sharing..
Wendy's break from music should have given her time to re-asses her energies and teaching skills, and allow her to devise new teaching strategies for a more revitalized facility in the classroom for 2007.
