She's scary and unreasonable
she's actually a really good teacher, if not a little repetitive at times, but she can often get very angry about the tiniest of things and i've left her room in tears on more than one occasion
Ms Kenway is an amazing teacher and sort of a wise character. The only key to thriving in her class is putting in the effort, not talking while she is talking, not talking while its silent time and definitely absolutely not moving the desks around.
The best teacher I have ever had. So understanding, absolutely amazing. Teaches the work so well, appears prickly but as a teacher is just phenomenal
is scary. knows her stuff but is quite repetitive
Had Ms Kenway as my Extension 2 teacher before I decided to drop out :---))))) she knows her stuff, but she tends to push you to do your major work on aspects of literature that she enjoys, such as postcolonial literature, magical realism and Australian literature. She always forgets about our planned lessons and I always have to go chase her up lol so much for preaching prioritising English and frequent meetings with the teacher !1!!!1! But she knows her stuff and is helpful.
Had her as an English teacher 25yrs ago. She was moody, sometimes scary but looking back she was a great teacher with a lot of knowledge. All she asks is you put in the effort for your own sake. Glad to have her as a teacher. She has a scary aura about her but is a very nice lady.
Ms Kenway is generally misinterpreted. Overall she is actually quite a good teacher and really knows the content she is teaching. She provides helpful feedback and is actually quite relaxed and can joke with you if you let her. She definitely favours seniors over juniors but that's not problematic. She will commend you and acknowledge you if she sees you as a hard-working/enthusiastic student.
She always picks on juniors which is really stupid bc they usually don't do anything wrong. There's a lot of yelling from her at the bus line and at the corridors. I think she's really grumpy but she is probably a good teacher in some ppl s opinions
She always picks on me, even though I'm doing the right thing. It's like, what's wrong with looking at a pen?
Can be very strict however this actually encourages me to do me work to an acceptable standard and on time which is actually a very good thing :)
Alright... but when we had her, most of the times she came unprepared and moody...
Encourages independent thought. Also has a knack for reading poetry.
I still live in fear of her, but she is one of the best teachers I have ever had.
Really good teacher. Encourages your own thoughts. Not-so-nice to juniors, but extremely friendly and funny once you're in yr12!
People think she's scary, but I love her!! I think she favours those who have a flair for english though. And she scares off all the year 7s from blocking corridors LOL
has mood swings. when she's happy she's great. but she doesnt mark practise papers in time. not so good for senior school.
She is good but she hardly ever comes to class. Makes english fun though
We only had her for two lessons :( She's so awesome though, in those two lessons, I learnt possibly more than I have in a whole term with my other teacher. I can't believe she is on leave!!! :(
I have her as a junior and she's lovely. Great teacher, even if i don't concentrate.
Fantastic, eccentric teacher who made English interesting, and encouraged new ideas in creative writing.
I love Miss Kenway - i hated her when i was younger and she hated me just as equally as i was by my own admission unfocused. Then one day we got on the same page and i learnt so much from her.Great!
She's so hilarious sometimes, but goes off topic so easily. And sometimes can be really scary - esp to juniors.
Funny and awsome! One of the best English teachers ever... after Mr Lidster
