Reviews here sum it up,
"You've got to get your head around it"
Mr Liggins has been teaching chemistry for years, and is the most passionate teacher about his field I have ever seen, he has a strong desire to see his students do well, although I suggest he stick to the VCAA study design more and follow the textbook in making notes and teaching, that way students can follow a logical systematic teaching method. I would recommend him to future students.
Nigel rambles on and drags on explanations which makes stuff really confusing
Great teacher with an unbelievable knowledge about chemistry, as well as it links to current events. Can put stuff in simple terms and teaches proper chemistry language not just the basic terminology.
Nigel is incredibly passionate and I struggled so much with chemistry back in my Newhaven days! He never ever gave up on me and he coached me through it. I was never going to be a scientist as my skill set rested with English and Legal Studies but he encouraged me nonetheless and supported me. Ive nothing but respect for him.
Negative Nigel. Never says anything positive about anyone.
30 years ago he was very inspiring, and I bet he still really cares for all his students.
its good that he knows what he is talking about, its just a shame nobody else does!!! favorite quote, "come on boys lets get some work done."
Brilliant teacher, would never have got to where I am without him
Knows a lot, but cannot convey it well at all. Not good with kids. My favourite quotes are. "Now what you've got to learn to appreciate," and "It's all about pathways."
He means well, gets a bit lost in his passion for science sometimes and goes off on a tangent, but atleast he cares about the individual I suppose...
He is too busy doing his own thing to teach. he keeps on getting side tract & telling us stories. He scares us when he flies off at us when we dont understand.
