Amazing teacher. I was a student in his last year 12 chemistry class before retiring in 2016 and he boosted my chem mark up so much from year 11. He is an amazing teacher who knows all(well he did write the book). His teaching methods are simple but effective, comparing complex chemistry concepts to simple things to help us understand. Impossible to scab marks off though, which I guess is good prep for WACE. XD
Good teacher, not as good at physics as Mr Lake who I can't find on here for some reason. Extra points for the summer-break mustache surprise! Can't remember if he wrote the textbook or his brother.. vaguely remember it was his brother (which is weird). Had some good props and demos quite regularly, definitely a worthy adversary.
Awesome teacher! It was great telling students from other schools that my chemistry teacher was the author of the book! Although sometimes strict and not too understanding when answering some questions, he's great most other times!
Thanks Mr Lucarelli!
It was such a privilege to be taught by such a prestigious author and an experienced teacher. Though he was strict, it made the students more keen in keeping up to date with work. Strict teachers may
Why am I the only one that hated him as a teacher? He isn't clear enough so I struggled through chemistry. Also, notice he always walks out of the class when his mobile rings.
he's teaching me physics now, kind of scary if u ask me, but at times, nice.everyone knows him for writing essential chem though haha
very cool. mostly laid back, lets us do what we like.
I had nick way back as a form and chem teacher. In one chemistry class I was sent out with a few others. We were called in one by one, myself being the last. He asked me why was I there, my response - "the last bloke said you wanted to see me" - what he meant was, was I there to have fun or to learn, my response was - obviously fun. He helped me through chemistry and not knowing I was having a tough time at home made school more fun for me. A top teacher and I remember him over 20 years later.
