Mr Joyce, not sure if you read this but you certainly impacted my life in the arts
I am a scientist that is now gainfully employed in bringing arts to the masses
Thanks for not giving up on a scientist like me, even if it took a decade to realise what you were teaching me.
My apologies for any apathy on my part. I have also made a name for myself in the written arts; and part of that can be attributed to your guidance

I love Mr Joyce. He's the best. You can never have any teacher better than him.
Gets stuck in doorways tooo much, delays the class because of this and then is strict about class absence and l8ness
he is a great teacher but a not so good at being nice to pplz he doesnt know
Good if you have no ability in art, you just ask him, 'How do you do this?' And he will go on and finish your work for you, and if you don't stand out in class, he'll forget he did it.
Most of these people are judging on looks. Joyce has extensive knowledge of art. I had him as a teacher once. I did prefer Mrs Slade, but she left the year I started (94).
good man often misjudged... has a great heart and knows his stuff
His methods rely upon our own prior knowledge, and when none is present this creates a discrepancy in which the student is left behind.
He's not as bad as other's have said, he is nicer to the older grades than year 7 @ 8. He is usually clear, and he doesn't make your life annoying.
Heard a lot of stuff bout him... ;) He's nice but i agree... he should stop doing ur work for you!!
Hmmm... On the one hand, he's a fantastic artist and knows loads about the subject. On the other hand, he is waaay to strict on what his idea of "acceptable" art is. Also, he does too much for you.
good teacher, very helpful, and you learn heaps from him. I just wish he doesn't draw the whole portrait for you when you ask how to draw a nose.
a pretty good teacher. really good at explaining things, but needs to work on certain errm..aspects of himself .
he isn't bad, he can be a bit stuck up and does edit artwork, but explains things well.
For me, i found him a really intellegent man and quite helpful. Like all people, he's not perfect but the skills he helped me developed in junior school carried through to senior.
An excellent conversationalist, and very complementary - a good art teacher.
Mr Joyce is often rude and will impose his own opinion on his students, being unfairly critical. He is knowledgeable but not approachable.
Mr Joyce is a competent, kindly man whose life has been marked by personal tragedy - but this has not seen him become a monster.
Said "if I were a lesser man, I'd call you a wanker" to one of his students, and deserving respect just for that. Not a bad teacher, and plenty understanding of kids who have trouble with art.
Good teacher, gives good information, usually knows what he is talking about
