Les Sadowsky taught me at Weston Creek High between 1986 and 1988. He commanded attention and I suspect that most students didn't get him and railed against his authoritarian style. It was in his science research class for which he selected the students who were allowed to participate that he taught me about the scientific method and critical thinking. Wish I could thank him in person. He was genuinely excited about teaching science. A pity that I only really understood this years later.
Future dara kids will never learn of this legendary teacher that once graced the halls. Not only did he teach well, but he was intelligent and always pushed students to achieve maximum results. He taught us the essential skills of what it was to properly learn. My physics marks simply declined after he left the school and it was unfortunate that he couldn't stay for another couple of years. He was a great teacher and a great mentor.
Eccentric, but interesting guy. Runs his classes like a uni class: with half the class asleep and the other half dozing off. But you learn a great deal. Focuses on students doing their work well rather than following protocol. Great teacher.
I was his student in 1990 or so in high school. He looked at every person in turn and made a one-word comment about each of us. I recall he said testosterone to me and I had a lot of it.. In most cases he was on the button. He his by far the teacher, that has had the greatest positive impact on me as a person. I use physics every day in my work and my ability to problem solve a think complexly are often attributed to him teaching style. All of my friends that have also flourished have fond memories of him.
i thought he was a good teacher. i actually learnt a lot when i was in his class as opposed to all my other science teachers. his methods are incredibly frustrating though and was quite mean at times.
Ok seriously, to all you people, learn to spell. Secondly, grow a pair. Thirdly, he is the best teacher in existence.
he is a great teacher but tends to shout at you for poitless irelevent things.
good teacher, but a little bit, to put it nicely, eccentric
He is really nice, knows what he is doing and is extremely intelligent. He just doesn't like people that waste learning time!
he is a bit harsh but is without a doubt a good teacher
he likes it when you ask him questions and think you are actually intwerested therefore going easier on you but his folder idea is a bit over the top
Yells alot and unneccessarily bangs rulers just as often. You don't have the slightest margin for error when he's watching you do a prac. If equipment's broken he'll think whoever told him broke it. He's enough to make anyone have a bad day. But a decent teacher.
he's a great teacher if u understand him, have to earn his respect, occasionally quite funny, says 'bloody' a lot, more relaxed with college than high school
WAY too old fashioned for students of today. Demands total silence 95% of the time, does not create pleasant learning environment. teaches Level 2 Science Year 9.
