I've only had her for a term, but she is so amazing, she only gets mad if you goof off, which sadly happens a lot since I am in year 7 this year *sigh*. but she really tries for everyone ^^
Ms Canon is one of most hardworking, caring and fun teachers I've met. She made me believe in myself and gave me confidence, characteristics that have helped me tremendously after finishing school. Amid the stress of HSC, she fuelled class with so much fun and excitement, reminding us why we chose drama in the first place. Drama became the subject I looked forward to the most and ended up becoming my best subject. Ms Canon helped me find my passion and for that I am eternally grateful.
Had her in year 12 a few years ago if you get a band 6 in that class you are a talented miracle ( we had none lol) ; unorganised in the highest way ever if your her favourite and you decide to put more effort into another subject she hates you the way she turns on favourites is screwed up ==*rmt*==More organisation required ......................................
Extremely unorgansied and gives us excursion sheets on the day they are due and has the most difficult approach do anything we do in class, she always changes what we do in our performances which were supposed to figure out ourselves and when she realises she made a mistake shes always trying to cover up for it. Makes DRA.a very hard to do and it also makes the subject very difficult to put up with. Also if your not one of her favourites you may as well give up trying to get top of the class.
She gives a lot of work..... but she cares. She's good at miming
She interrupted my drama play with my friends and said I abused acting when I was acting. She is just jealous. She said all i was trying to do was to get a laugh from the class.
she is good, gives you good marks...but only if you are on her good side. on her bad side? everything you do gets a fail.
her way or the high way, not very helpful most of the time
I used to love drama, but i'm sad to say that i'm now no longer looking forward to this class. It is hard to express ourselves as teenagers and actors when there is someone who is "trying" to understand but really doesn't...being passive does not work. It's hard to say what exactly is wrong in this class, but, it's not working anymore.
I experienced having Miss Cannon as a teacher for 2 and a half years...Though that was while she taught English.
She was a good teacher, but some of her approaches to the topics were a little irritating.
I have had Miss Cannon for 2-3 years and i have to say she is a very good acting teacher but tends to think that drama is the ultimate priority when it comes to skool. Having said that i think she should have stuck to being an english teacher because the say she pronounces 'difficult' drives me up the wall.
I believe that Mrs.Cannon is a really good acting teacher, the only problem I have encountered with her is that sometimes I feel that we have to commit to Drama way too often. That's very noticeable when comparing with other subjects in particular.
