A hopeless teacher, she never does anything. And it takes her almost half the damn lesson to mark the role and all she ever does is hand out a bunch of useless sheets. She's also extremely boring, it's so hard to pay attention in class.
I am actually writing this as an old student because I am shocked about the reviews!! She was one of my favourite teachers in year 11 and 12 and we all went extremely well in the HSC. She always made us hand in essays early and would mark them quite quickly so we would be prepared for the exam. She made these amazing worksheets and gave us helpful past essays and papers. Hands down the reason I went so well in English and Extension 1 and can write essays well at University. <3
Worst teacher in my experience - apathetic, blatantly plays favourites, is unreasonable and unwilling to help.
Although in some cases its a good thing, she's too lenient and will often let us off from writing our essays and cancel them altogether sometimes which is unfair for students who actually do them. We often learn nothing from her teachings and are expected to know everything ourselves without guide. She boasts a lot about having students who have achieved a lot under her guide but doesnt teach us these skills in turn, taking up a lot of our time that could be spent learning.
I'm sorry I sucked so bad at English and was never bothered to put in the effort required to get better. Hell it's 4 days til the start of hsc exams and this is what I'm doing. Even though I get the impression you didn't like me or my friends very much you always tried to help us as much as possible so thank you. If nothing else I learnt that after hsc I should never try to write an essay in 40 minutes ever again.
I remember we had a double in C1 writing a story and then EVERYONE started playing games. She saw me playing tetris full screen, gave me a look and went back to reading her stuff. Great job!
Tries hard and really knows her stuff- she's a great lady. wouldn't hurt to lighten up occasionally though- like there's definitely no need to make the HSC more gloomy than it already is...
