I had Mr Atwood In year 7, 2012. He was the one of the most knowledgeable teachers at KHS. He made history and even geography more enjoyable. We were all sad to see him retire in 2013.
Has a great sense of storytelling. Generated a curiosity in history that I never thought I had. Ought to be respected. Behind his strict exterior is a witty smile.
Mr Attwood was a history teacher of mine through my senior years, while he is somewhat scary at first and a little strict, he has a very large amount of knowledge at his disposal which he is happy to teach you, required you show him the same respect he tries to show his students - If you show him the respect he shows you and ask questions when you don't understand, or ask for a little of his time aside you will find he is an excellent teacher.
Mr Atwood was one of the greatest teachers I ever had! He was knowledgeable, kind and very helpful and genuinely wanted the best from his students. He was the only teacher I had who gave us hope for a future beyond the HSC and even now, 10 years after I graduated I always think of him as one of my favourites and if I ever meet him on the street one day I'm going to tell him all of this
